Your Head Instructor
Carl D. Stoldt was born in Kentucky and has trained all over the world to enhance his training, including Canada and Germany.

Carl has obtained black belts in many different martial arts. A sixth degree in one style of Taekwondo, a second degree in another style of Taekwondo, a first degree in Shotokan Karate, a first degree in Hapkido, and has trained in Wing Chun, Kung Fu, Brazilian Jujitsu, Ninjutsu, Boxing, Aikido, and Kyshojitsu (pressure point fighting).

He is currently wonjutsu's only 6th degree black belt.
While living in North Dakota, Carl helped trained the Minot Police Department in Pressure Point Control Tactics (PPCT) as he is a nationally certified instructor in PPCT. He was also invited to Canada to train and compete on several occasions.

During the 1990 National Invitationals in Aberdeen, SD, Carl became that year's national champion and continued to fight with Team USA across the country and has competed in Germany.

Working as a professional bodyguard for a wealthy businessman in Columbus, Georgia, Carl was able to form his own style called "Wonjutsu." The word Wonjutsu is a combination of Korean and Chinese, and translated means "new style." He combined all his martial arts knowledge from all his styles and presented it to The American Council on Martial Arts to get it officially recognized as an actual martial arts style.

The American Council on Martial Arts (ACMA) helps regulate martial arts instruction in the U.S. by making sure instructors that they actually recognize, have all the required certifications and backgrounds to teach. Currently there is a push for all martial art instructors to be certified by the ACMA to help control unqualified people from teaching unknowing students and risking serious injury to lack of proper training.

Carl has been a bouncer at several violent clubs before and knows what works. You get plenty of experience being a bald-headed, white guy at an all Jamaican club in Ft. Lauderdale! Bouncing at Grand Central Station in Dothan for 4 years on-and-off also racks up quite the experience of street fighting and practical applications.

Carl owned and operated a Wonjutsu school in Auburn for 3 years before moving to Dothan, AL. Carl is available now for private lessons and seminars and is preparing to open a school in Chipley, Florida .
Here Carl is with wrestling legend Rick Flair.
This is Nia Peebles of Walker, Texas Ranger.
With all of his touring of the tournament circuits, Carl has met and talked with many celebrites. Chuck Norris, Jean Claude Van Dame, Stevan Seagal, the Power Ranger cast, and most of the WWE Wrestlers are just some of the many other celebrities he's met.
Carl lives in Dothan currently with his beautiful wife, Rebecca, his two step-kids, Tyler and Valerie, and daughter Alia. Below are some family pictures.

I am truly blessed the Lord was good enough to give me the family he did. I could not have handpicked a better, more caring family.
On November 6, 2004, Carl and Rebecca were married at her aunt's.
Here's a better picture of Rebecca.

Carl was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the 40th annual BATTLE OF ATLANTA World Karate Championships in July of 2007! While his students looked on, Carl accepted his award in recognition of his many years of dedication in developing martial arts and the Black Belt spirit in the students and martial arts competitors across the country. Former World Champions Bill "Superfoot" Wallace and Don “the Dragon" Wilson and Battle of Atlanta host and president of the Professional Karate Association Joe Corley, made the presentation at the special OFFICIAL HALL OF FAME festivities over the week-end at the celebration of the 40th BATTLE OF ATLANTA. Mr. Stoldt joins Chuck Norris, Joe Lewis, Jeff Smith, Howard Jackson and other greats in this special HALL OF FAME.

I certainly have the better end of the deal.
For security and safety reasons, I do not have my kids pictured.
